While you can’t delete it, you can mute it:
- Open the Instagram app.
- Tap the blue-gradient circle at the top of the page to access the search bar.
- Tap the blue arrow > “i” icon > Mute > Mute messages.
- Choose how long to mute Meta AI, or select Until I change it.

- Be located in a country where Meta Verified is available.
- Follow the Instagram Terms of Use and Community Standards.
Instagram users can follow similar steps to opt out of data collection for AI training:
- Open the Instagram app.
- Go to Settings and Activity > Privacy Center.
- Select AI at Meta and click Submit an objection request.
- Enter the email address associated with your profile and explain how the use of your data impacts you.
